About Pauline Rochefort

Pauline Rochefort proudly serves as the Liberal Member of Parliament for Nipissing–Timiskaming, bringing a strong voice for Northeastern Ontario to Ottawa. A lifelong resident of the region and former Mayor of East Ferris, Pauline understands the priorities, challenges, and opportunities facing the people she represents.

Her approach is rooted in listening closely to constituents, building partnerships, and ensuring that local voices are heard at the national level. Whether addressing economic development, healthcare access, infrastructure needs, or cultural respect, Pauline works tirelessly to secure results for her riding.

Before entering federal politics, Pauline served two terms as Mayor of East Ferris (2018–2025), where she championed investments in community facilities, roads, broadband, and municipal services. She also has extensive experience in business and economic development, holding senior positions at the Business Development Bank of Canada and serving as President and CEO of the Canadian Wood Council, advocating for Canadian forestry and manufacturing interests on the global stage.

In Parliament, Pauline serves as Parliamentary Secretary to the Secretary of State for Rural Development and sits on the Standing Committee on Government Operations and Estimates. These roles allow her to shape policies that directly impact rural Canadians, ensuring federal programs deliver tangible benefits to communities like Nipissing–Timiskaming.

Pauline’s priorities include creating good jobs, supporting business owners and agricultural enterprises, and assisting individual constituents through both the North Bay and Temiskaming Shores constituency offices.  Above all, she is committed to being accessible, responsive, and a strong advocate—both at home in the riding and in Ottawa—working every day to make sure her constituents’ concerns are heard and addressed.
