Canada Seeks Input on Free Trade Agreements

(OTTAWA, ON) As outlined in Budget 2025, Canada's new government is focused on building a stronger, more resilient economy by diversiying trade and strengthening partnerships with reliable intrernational markets.

As part of this work, our government has launched public consultations on four upcoming free trade agreement negotiations with India, United Arab Emirates, Mercorsur and Thailand.

These potential agreements will help achieve our goal of doubling exports to non-US markets over the next decade, helping to create good jobs, open new opportunities for Canadian businesses, and improve market access for Canadian goods and services in fast-growing economies around the world.

Canadians are invited to share their views on these trade agreements by January 27, 2026.
