(NIPISSING - TIMISKAMING, ON) More good news for employers and youth in Nipissing - Timiskaming as applications are now open for the 2026 Canada Summer Job subsidy program.
"As I visited job sites last summer, I met with students and their employers who had received wage subsidies through the 2025 Canada Summer Jobs program which enabled employers to hire much-needed summer staff. The enthusiasm of the youth made me proud! All were gaining essential skills and work habits needed for today's workplace," said MP Pauline Rochefort.
Last year 137 employers in Nipissing-Timiskaming riding hired 260 students for summer jobs, thanks to $1 million from the Canada Summer Jobs program.
