PFAS Public Information Session

(NORTH BAY, ON)   The Department of National Defence (DND) and the City of North Bay (CNB) will co-host a public information session on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025 to share the latest project information and provide updates on joint efforts to address polyfluoroalkylated substances (PFAS) originating from Jack Garland Airport and CFB North Bay.

During the session, subject matter experts will present updates on ongoing studies and remediation efforts.  Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with project teams and experts to ask questions or share concerns.

The PFAS situation is of utmost importance to MP Rochefort and for the constituents whose drinking water comes from Trout Lake and along Lees Creek.  MP Rochefort is working behind the scenes to protect the interest of the constituents and will continue to urge DND, the City of North Bay and relevant provincial agencies to continue moving forward with a common resolution.
